At the hardware store where I work we have a lot of certain types of items, while we have been out of many other products…. for months. Shortages are random, although many Rubbermaid products have vanished.

It’s going to take years to unravel all this.

“Rubbermaid products have vanished”

Have you noticed Rubbermaid products haven’t been rubbery for at least a decade? I still have some of the old stuff, totally different compounds, the recipe for their lid sealing edges are not as flexible as in days of yore.

A bunch of in-laws in Winchester work for Rubbermaid or Procter & Gamble and now Amazon. There’s a lot of information that they talk about during get-togethers and years back I recollect hearing that “Rubbermaid” hasn’t really been “Rubbermaid” in a while.

Wondered about Rubbermaid products. Usually available at Dollar General. Fridge ice maker started leaking, so turned it off until I can get it fixed. Will just use old fashioned ice cube trays for crushed ice. Nope, can’t find ice cube trays anywhere - Rubbermaid the best. No Walmart’s have them either. Seem to have disappeared off the face of the earth.
