Some measure of this is because President Dufus killed the Keystone Pipeline. From distillate fuels used to move products to markets to oil’s use in plastics and hundreds of other products, that action produced ripples throughout the economy. Why would he do that? Look at who owns the only rail line between the oil fields in North Dakota and the Alberta Tar Sands and the refineries in the Mississippi Delta and follow the money. Need a hint: Warren Buffet.
