Internationally, probably. But most of the international outrage would be coming from people who don't have any understanding of what's actually going on in Australia and are already outraged because they've been mislead about the country. It's getting a bit hard for us to care all that much about what ignorant foreigners think when they are spouting so much crap about the country.
In Australia - honestly, it would probably be more popular than unpopular. Partly because we are sick to death of foreigners lying and misrepresenting our country, so he could wind up a scapecoat for that. Partly because people who have been forced to comply with the rules here are more than a bit annoyed that he's been given special treatment, and been allowed to not follow the vaccine mandates people here have had to. I mean - I think most people would probably thinking locking him up is going too far, but there isn't a great deal of sympathy for him here, and a lot of people are really angry.
I have this feeling you will be one of the people wearing the arm band.
Yes, people are pretty angry all over the world. I got this link from a friend. I guess it’s in Queensland. I guess the cops didn’t like the fact that the manager didn’t mask up. It was good to see the people run the cops out. The cops got shouted down. I believe they were fed up with this garbage. 😀🤗
