Correct. Advertising is targeted at people who watch ads. Anyone with half a brain is only watching ad-free streaming services or their own video libraries at this point.
It never fails to amaze me when friends complain about some commercial and stare at me like I’m from another planet when I ask “If you don’t like them, why do you watch them?”
Ads aren’t designed to be liked. They’re designed to be remembered, and at this they are very, very good.
As are supposed to be designed so that you like the product. That you feel good about the product. If you feel offended, that's bad for the product.
