We want to move to a place that is like where you live and are working on getting out of here. Our local news starts with Covid hysteria, takes a break for Snowmageddon, and a few minutes of commercials, goes back to Covid hysteria, has something about the threat from people owning guns. Then it ends with more Covid. Whenever I wonder why people are getting so freaked out, I just turn on the local news. People around here give you dirty looks when you are not wearing a mask at the gas pump. You need to produce a vaccination record if you want to go to local restaurants.
Yikes. Even central Illinois isn’t that bad. Cook county and some of the nearby counties unfortunately are in your hell. Hopefully it doesn’t get exported south. I will note that I’ve seen an uptick in people driving around with masks, especially the N95 ones.
