Can someone explain to me how monoclonal antibodies are supposed to be less experimental than the covid vaccines? I’ve never heard of cloned antibodies, the concept seems very strange.
Why do the states wait around waiting for the feds?
I think the problem is going to be that due to the Biden Admin’s lack of effort to get MAB’s cranked up in a big way, and Omicron is going to present a huge number of cases that fit the “window” for getting them (mild to moderate symptoms, but O2 not too low for MAB), with no quick way to discern between Delta and high volume Omicron cases... Result = demand will outstrip supply, possibly by an order of magnitude or more.
