I think you're right. With the known over-reporting of covid deaths, and the established under-reporting of adverse reactions in VAERS it is entirely possible that the virus and the vaccines are directly responsible for a similar number of deaths.

How about this possibility. For all of the vaccinated people that caught COVID and died, how many would have survived if they weren't vaccinated? In other words, how many people had their immune system compromised by the vaccine(s) which caused them to succumb to the virus, whereas their pre-vaccination healthy immune system would have prevented death?

Not just succumb to the virus, but other illnesses they succumbed to that they might not have acquired without it. These are the real stats to investigate...
