West Virginia has become the first state in the nation to request federal permission to administer a fourth vaccine dose, or second booster shot, of the COVID-19 vaccine.
West Virginia Gov. Jim Justice (R) in a Thursday letter to President Biden requested that the president direct the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to authorize a second booster shot of the COVID-19 vaccine for West Virginians over the age of 50 and essential workers who are three months or more out from their third shot.
The request was based on recommendations by West Virginia's COVID-19 response team, according to a press release from Justice's office.
"Just like West Virginia has led the nation time and again throughout this pandemic, Israel has led the world. And, right now, Israel is offering a fourth dose to an even bigger population - people who are four months out from their Pfizer or Moderna booster shots. What we want to do is walk hand-in-hand with Israel," Justice said in a statement

The third dose increases the immunity, so after the fourth dose you are protected. Once 80% has received the 5th dose, the restrictions can be relaxed as the 6th dose stops the virus from spreading. I am calm and believe the 7th dose will solve our problems and we will have no reason to fear the 8th dose. The Clinical phase of the 9th dose confirms that the anti bodies remain stable after the 10th dose. The 11th dose does guarantee no new mutations will develop so there is no longer any reason to fear the 12th dose.

How about asking for something that actually works?
Due to the Fed Mandate, one of my employees got 2 doses of the moderna shot less than 2 months ago, got covid over Christmas and had worse symptoms than I did when I got it in 2020 (obviously unvaxxed).
Something that prevented people from getting/transnmitting the disease would be cool.
The answer: herd immunity.
The ride *is* "the treatment". The faster it spins the fewer riders will want to risk jumping off.

They want a fourth vaccine so they can "walk hand-in-hand with Israel"?
It sounds like he's equating the vaccine with support for Israel. Which is stupid. Our vaccine policy neither benefits or hurts Israel, or any other nation.

Perhaps and we can look at them also with pity knowing they’re scared, especially elderly folks.
I see people driving in their car, alone, with a mask on. Walking down the street with just their wife and dog, with a mask over their faces.

This IS a psy-op campaign by those in power and months and months of negative headlines. Death, misery, variants, vaccine this, spike protein that. Yea, after a while it gets into folk’s heads.
Healthcare is not a federal purview according to the limited powers granted to them in the Constitution!
If West Virginia wants to go this route they don’t need permission from DC.
So long as they are offering it and not mandating it, I don’t give a rat’s ass what they do.

I suspect it is the only “Republican” sounding issue he could hang his position on.
I know nothing of this guy, but taking a position like that should be cause for deep suspicion of his motives.
The “Fat Man’s” personal fears might be driving this. He has almost every increased risk factor for COVID morbidity.
