Winner, winner!
100% convinced this is why my esteemed governor (Whitmer) has not restricted Michigan’s residents in the same manner and zeal she did last year.
Hoping citizens who have not fled the state will remember her Draconian edicts and vote her out of Lansing!!

"Another possible explanation is that there is a potentially new variant that has emerged in China that has caused a major, draconian shut down is several cities, including a major Chinese population center of about 21 million people. If there is a chance that this hits the US with a high mortality rate, we could be needing all the tools at our disposal to fight a virus that actually is as scary as they have been trying to make the omicron variant. They perhaps are trying ton get ahead of the curve ." You are either an idiot or a newbie troll.
My vote is both.

They were. There were also credible reports that Chinese security forces were euthanizing people with advanced covid cases in 2020 in an effort to slow the spread of the virus back in the early days of the covid virus outbreak. There are credible reports from western media sources actually on the ground covering the events in Xi'an, the city locked down by the CCP, that there are serious food shortages that could be problematic if the situation persists for several more weeks. Two plausible explanations for such a desperate response - a bad new virus that needs to contained or a draconian response to avoid any covid related disruptions of the upcoming Olympic Games

You lose. Have been on the board since at least the 2000 election so not a newbie. Perhaps you or the other asshat who posted the original flame job can explain how postulating that the recent turnaround status of therapeutics by the media and policy makers for covid that started about two weeks ago which lines up with a week or so time lag after the emergence of the virus that locked down Xi’an and much of the the surrounding province is idiotic? I really wish to be schooled by your superior intellect or the equally superior intellect of the original asshat. The level of discourse on Free Republic has really begun to descend to Democrat Underground levels these days .

Sort of like the Draconian response of Australia with only 1200 deaths out of 25 million people. 🤬

(My prediction: Harris is Spiro Agnew. We'll soon see who becomes Gerald Ford, and our next prez.)
