People who invade homes get a thrill out of being in people’s homes knowing that the people may wake and discover them. A lot of killers and rapist start out by sneaking into homes while people sleep.
I dont think that there was a clear plan and there may have even been a disagreement between two people about what to do. Which is why the note was written at the home. The best lead they had was two people both dead now.
What if one person wrote the note while the other molested her in the basement? The note writer not knowing she was dead.
If the brother did kill her it is unlikely that John was part of the cover-up. The note did not match his hand writing/had some similarities to Patsy. Plus if I remember correctly John had just been woken when the 911 call was made and was still in his underwear. Patsy on the other hand was still dressed in the clothes from the night before.
There are a lot of strange things and unanswered questions and to be honest it is easy to come to either the family or intruder conclusion. All that i can say is that the behavior of the family does not match up with them being involved. In most cases when a family member kills another they will not be the ones to find the body.

DNA would not solve the case...verry good chance someone was abusing this girl sexually and the abuser is not necessarily the one that killed her. this person is likely a part of the puzzle.
I think it was the mother.
The kid was probably fed up with the constant dress up pageant crap the mother was forcing on her, the mother got mad and killed the kid in a fit of rage.

I think the wife was the driving force. I don’t recall
very clearly.
With so much child focused sexuality, it seems to me that if
you allow a young child to dress up as an older girl, it can
open her up to unwanted attention.
I would urge parents to dress their younger girls down.
Let them enjoy their youth without such considerations.

Thats about the only thing that DOESNT make sense and can be ruled out.
The parents were involved in the coverup, the kids were all victims in some way.
To accept that they were asleep is to accept the alibi of those involved.
They were at a party before, they were still in their party clothes after. They didnt go to sleep.
Find the customer they brought home after the party.
We might as well think of the young girl as their show dog.

I despise the pageant nonsense for children…I just don’t get it.

It was painful to see how decked out that little girl was.
I watched a show on how those moms treat their kids in that
pageant arena. It was sickening.
They get fixated on it, and everything takes a back seat to
getting their little object to be number one. And if the
kid screws up, the moms and dads can get very angry and
hostile toward the kid.
I honestly think those shows should be banned, it was that bad.
