I certainly can't blame everything on them. The heart guy and the pancreas guy got dealt a damned poor hand.
The scoundrel of a shoulder man is still on the scene, in fact I think he is a department head now. I looked him up while I was last there but didn't want to dwell on him, recall him much at all.
Bad guy. Thought it was all funny.
I found the best shoulder guy in the world right in my back yard...I. He is the only doc I have spend lots of time with, who promised me certain goals by certain dates and he nailed every one of them, 3 months, 6 months, it didn't matter.
He believed and I did too.
My dear old dad, he was a great one, fought those heart battles day after day.
He was a self-made man, worked like a dog, played like one too...when he was on his back he refused to avail himself of government insurance, didn't want to ask them for anything.
In those days you could actually think about paying your way, which as far as I recall he did.
Lord, I miss him now.
Good luck in the future, you take care.
Thanks much, and I likewise remember a great man - my dad - who fought an ultimately deadly enemy (cancer) every day for 5 years. He was also a WWII vet (Normandy); a quiet, humble man who followed Jesus and who was considered a “man’s man” by his peers. They don’t make many like him these days.
