True and it’s an odd time for this pronouncement to come out. There’s an average of about 200 inches of snow on the ground in the northern and central Sierra. But we need about 350, preferably more because the reservoirs are so depleted. The forecast suggests maybe no snow after Friday, through the end of the month. That has the snow pack evaporating a little bit every day. So we’re not out of this drought yet and need a lot more storms before April.

I think you could pay some illegal immigrants to stand in your driveway and hose them off. Problem solved.

Nothing new here. Such regs have been in place for years — as the pinheads who run this CaCaLand state still haven’t built water storage in 40 years — within which the pop has doubled.

Of course, this does not apply to Hollywood.

CA hasn’t expanded their reservoir capacity in something like 25+ years

It's more like 40+ years.

How about the hundreds of trillions of snow melt that the state of California sends into the Pacific Ocean?

They ALWAYS put restrictions in place when the drought is ending. Then they ease up on the restrictions when the next drought starts. You can set your calendar by what they do.

Urban use in California is only 10% and falling not rising. Half of urban use is by industry not residential so 5% of total water use is residents even deporting every illegal wouldn’t make a dent I California total.water use. Assuming 50% of the population was illegals it’s not but let’s go big or go home that only saves 2.5% total thats a rounding error compared to agricultural use. How about not growing grass for cattle in Saudi Arabia in the desert that uses FIVE FEET of irrigation water depth per acre per year. Alfalfa hay is the single largest water used in the state FIVE MILLION acre feet per year is.dumped on the ground to grow grass for cows most of which are not even USA cattle.

Google Saudi alfalfa and California then spend an hour in horror as to what is happening year after year. Then Google how much water alfalfa needs in that climate UC Davis has detailed studies with ET tents, trays, subsoil sensors and biomass data.

Here is the real water use not political dribble.
