Dowd said, “I mean, obviously, January 6 is a seminal moment in our country’s history, but it’s really a moment combined with a lot of other moments. This, in fact, is domestic terrorism, which has completely surfaced in our country, and it has all of the elements of domestic terrorism with the added element, it has cells around the country, it has actions, it has intent, it has weapons, it has radicalization. It has communication channels that do it, which is Fox News and Sean Hannity, all that. But what is different here and makes this, in my view, so much worse, I’ve often said that I think January 6 was worse, a worse event for our country’s history than 9/11, even though more people were — there was a greater loss of life on 9/11. January 6 has actually revealed what exists, the sort of treasonous activity that exists among many of our leaders in this country, and it has divided the country more.”

...and THIS is a so-called REPUBLICAN.

The insane hyperbole, the drama-queen posturing...if it wasn't so very dangerous, it would be laughable.

January 6th is the only 'insurrection' I have ever heard of, where the VAST majority of 'rioters' were invited and escorted into a government building, and in which they stayed between velvet ropes in an orderly fashion....

...and the handful of people who did cause problems, were led by an agent provocatuer (Epps) and some infiltrators (AntiFa).

This irresponsible and hyperbolic talk by these so-called pundits, grants to the government the justification for tyrannical acts by that very governemnt. As an example: The shameful treatment of those souls in the DC jail is more reminiscient of the Soviet Union than America.

This dangerous man, Matthew Dowd, even goes so far as to claim that a benign set of television shows (Fox and Hannity) is somehow a covert revolutionary communications network. It is absurd on its face, but also quite dangerous. Dowd seems to desire the shutdown of legitimate news channels on the ludicrous premise that, because they offer a view that is different than other mainstream sources, that they promote sedition! This is the sort of thought-process you saw in 1930's Germany, or in present-day North Korea!

This is a man who would gladly usher in a repressive tyrannical police-state. In fact, he is encouraging one by his outrageous rhetoric.

Because you two individuals ‘get it’, I want you to read the above post. I will groom this text into a full-on essay so as to warn as many people as I can of this overheated rhetoric, and the reason it is happening.

I agree 100%! Azzhats like this are going to be very sorry if they ever get what they are asking for. And let there be no mistake, they are the ones setting it up, pushing for it and hoping for it.
