Totally out of Left Field. Completely blindsided by this. Took my by surprise. Out of the blue. Caught off guard. Stopped me in my tracks. Struck me dumb. Made my jaw drop. I was rooted to the spot and knocked over with a feather. Raised my eyebrows. Words failed me. I was blown away. A real eye-opener. Took my breath away. I'll be a monkey's uncle. I gasped in surprise. Who could have seen this coming? I was caught unawares. I spit my coffee.
