Letter from Schumer attached at link.
Will the GOP have the fortitude to fight this?

This is war and the destruction of our nation. All planned out by the Democrats.
We are under siege.

We should already have lawsuits ready to go if that monstrosity ever passes.

I doubt it. They couldn’t run to their safe spaces fast enough after the Biden cabal stole the election so why would they care if the DemoMarxists have absolute power forever?

Martin Luther King’s birthday should remind us about how the FBI was used as a political police force against MLK in the 1960’s but of course the Democrats are perfectly happy to see the FBI used as political police in connection with January 6th.

Democrats will use Thursday's anniversary of the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol to propel their efforts to pass sweeping changes to our country. Not limited to individual bills or anything else, it will be the excuse for all their evil desires.

They are going to go from siege to full attack the closer we get to the midterms. They are going to pull every trick in the book to fix that election and if they succeed this country is doomed.

Correct... and everybody who opposes them will obviously be labeled ‘racists’ and ‘supporters of the insurrection.’ This is the ugliest most cynical form of politics.

Yeah, I noticed that sly little reference to Manchin.. obviously meant to demoralize any opposition. With the filibuster his support for the bill is meaningless, why Schumer is stirring the gruel...

Y’all still think Manchin is a great guy? No. He's only standing up to Biden because he's afraid of the West Virginia voters.

The filibuster rule is a good one. But it is just a rule, and is nowhere mentioned in the Constitution. So a simple majority in the Senate can legally eliminate it.
That, of course, would lead us one step closer to disaster. But Democrats don’t care about that. They live in the moment, and tomorrow be damned.

Yes, the filibuster is essentially a ‘gentleman’s agreement.’ It does have the weight of tradition but that’s all.

Good luck getting Sinema and Manchin on board for this outrage. They are going to need plenty of that.
To: HandBasketHell
Joe Manchin is straddling a barbed wire fence. No place for sudden moves.
Harry Reid already did the filibuster rule great damage. But do not expect Chuck Schumer to draw any lessons from that exercise in naked power grabbing. Once the Senate loses this tool altogether, 50% + 1 becomes the formula for tyranny by “democracy”.
Democrats may not always be in power.
