Former President Donald Trump holds a commanding lead over other potential Republican candidates in the 2024 presidential election, leading Fla. Gov. Ron DeSantis by 43 percentage points, a new poll shows.

Asked who they would support in the 2024 election, 54 percent of Republicans picked Trump, while 11 percent chose DeSantis and 8 percent picked former Vice President Mike Pence.

Nikki Haley, the UN ambassador in the Trump administration, came in fourth with 4 percent of support, followed by Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) at 3 percent, and former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) and Texas Gov. Greg Abbott getting 2 percent.

Former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and Sen. Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) each finished with 1 percent.

If Trump runs he wins the nomination easy.

DeSantis is my top choice otherwise.

Pence already blew up his chance.

Cruz? Nope. Not after his behavior during the 2016 convention.

Christie? Lol I’d rather vote for Biden.

Reminds me of this meme from 2016, about how the media kept declaring "this is the end of Trump's campaign" seemingly every other week over whatever ("mocking the disabled," comments about John McCain, Access Hollywood tape... whatever overblown B.S. they could muster.)

Trump’s future will be determined by the damage his vaxx does over the next three years. If he does plan on running he’d best back off his unqualified support for the failed, experimental vaxx. A DeSantis/Paul ticket would give us a much better chance of draining the swamp without getting rolled again. With DeSantis or Paul, at least that SOB Fauci would finally get fired.

Trump’s made it more than clear enough that he’s pro-vax. Not a mandate thankfully, but clearly supports it.

Trump needs to be honest about the vaxx. I have yet to hear Trump admit that there are severe, sometimes deadly, side effects. There are a tremendous number of people who trust Trump completely on this issue and have put themselves in jeopardy by listening to Trump when he hawks the vaxx. Whatever damage done by the vaxx over the next three years will be laid at Trump’s feet.

Beyond just the full throttle vaxx support, I don’t hear him go hard after Fauci, NIH, and EcoHealth for Gain of Function. Rand Paul has lead that. He tries to pin it all on China, and even then he’ll muddy the water and talk about his great friend Xi. I know people love Trump here on FR, every move he makes is a master stroke of genius a rube like me can’t understand, but I really hope someone else emerges.

Trump has all the baggage a candidate can get really. He lights a fire under the left’s butt to vote. I can’t think of a more divisive person in government in my life. If you thought 2016/2020 the media went all out, if he runs in 2024 the howls will be so much worse.

“I thought Jan. 6th destroyed him.”

Don’t they wish. That’s why the FBI, Pelosi, et al. concocted the event. Seems it didn’t work as planned.

From Pence down is a good indication of the percentage of RINO supporters in the party.

Any thoughts on Rand Paul? I wasn’t very impressed with him in 2016 but he’s been very strongly opposed to vackseen mandates from the start. I’d still favor Trump though.

“If you thought 2016/2020 the media went all out, if he runs in 2024 the howls will be so much worse.”

What’s left for them.

I do know they will bring up all of the women/children DeSantis is alleged to have abused, possibly even raped. Haven’t heard of them, ehhh? Neither have I, but they will materialize in Sept/Oct 2024, you can bank on it.

The MSM does not act surprised by these findings?

The MSM is in a fog right now.

Biden is a disaster for the DemonRat party.

We have not gotten one shovel ready job by that $1.2 Trillion Dollar jobs bill and infrastructure bill.

We have been snookered again by the DemonRats.
