The ugliest propaganda regarding Bandera bandits is that they were “freedom fighters who fought both Communists and Nazis”.
If you’d ask what battle they fought against the Nazis, the protagonists shut up.
They didn’t fight against the Soviets much as well, unless you count the civilian population.
Most of their fighting was in Volhynia against Poles, specifically the Armia Krajowa (AK)
After WW II, Stepan Bandera settled in Munich and was employed by the Gehlen Org, which was an integral part of the West German and NATO Cold War intelligence apparatus. This secured for both the former Nazi Gehlen and the former Nazi ally Bandera immunity for their sordid pasts due to their supposed value against the Soviet Union. As it happened though, Gehlen’s agency was eventually found to be thoroughly penetrated by Soviet spies.
