“After a month I had noticed people were not dying in the streets. So did you.”
Let me ask you this.
If you was in charge in the US at the early stages of covid 19 and you saw videos of chinese welding shut apartment doors and when asked the chinese were totally mum about what was happening in their own country would you think hey this must really be bad or naw this is is a nothing burger. Go out and live your life as normal. Nothing to see here folks.
Most folks would be overly cautious and think oh shit this must really be bad.
As I said if our gov’t downplayed covid 19 and millions were lost you would be screaming incompentence and you are s till screaming incompetance since millions did not die out in the streets.
No matter what our authorities did you would damn them.
If you was in charge in the US at the early stages of Covid-19 and you saw videos of Chinese welding shut apartment doors and when asked the Chinese were totally mum about what was happening, and you believed them, would your top “expert” on infectious diseases say we have nothing to worry about?
It’s impossible for me to credibly answer this with the 20/20 hindsight we now have.
But what is credible (for me not you, since we don’t know each other) is how I handled it here at home. Two weeks of concern, then I was done with it.
You see there, you did it again:
“No matter what our authorities”
I look at them as my employees.
You’re not very good at this.... hopefully your boss doesn’t see this one.
