"Closed parks, beaches and outdoor venues even though Covid is rarely, if ever, transmitted outside"
California went absolutely insane doing this. They closed all the park parking lots and the surrounding street parking. But they couldn't keep people from walking into the parks, so they put up yellow "Caution" tape all over the park benches so you couldn't sit down.
I simply parked a bit further away from the park and walked in. I had the 1,400 acre Foothills Park in Palo Alto all to myself AND there were no airplanes in the sky. It was the greatest time there ever.
AND I devilishly glee in tearing off all the damned yellow caution tape every time I visited. I honestly could not think of a more stupid approach to stopping the spread than putting that damned tape on park benches.
Reminds me of the getting AIDS from toilet seats cry.
