the only info is the officer was "a relatively new member " who worked the 5th district, and died at the hospital.

Aren’t we at or above the average number of cops shot in the line of duty for 2021?

This one, and one in ChiCongo yesterday

Thanks, Obama

Hope this isn’t the beginning of a trend. Compared to other big cities, Cleveland has fewer carjackings because more of our citizens carry.

I’m not a kid anymore.I have white hair and walk with a limp (thanks to two metal hips). I drive a reasonably nice, late model,car...not a Ferrari but not a Fiat either. I very seldom drive in bad parts of town but the thought of car jacking still crosses my mind once in a while.

It’s time to start holding the black community responsible for the rise in crime by glorifying their criminals. And yeah, I know democrats encourage this as a way to keep blacks on their plantation but it’s time... past time.

This happened in one of, if no the safest neighborhoods in the city. The Kamm’s area of Westpark is safer than many of the inner ring suburbs. It has a lower or comparable crime rates to Lakewood, Brooklyn & even Fairview Park. All quality suburbs. It has significantly lower crime rates than many Eastside suburbs.

This is an area with a heavy concentration of city workers, particularly Police, Firefighters & many of the cities judges, prosecuting attorneys & city workers.

However, crime has been on the rise.

The suspects are NOT from the area & were likely visiting people in the local Government Housing project that is close to the airport & borders the community. The crime in that project is mostly kept at that project, but lack of sufficient policing as well as the fact that the city police are woefully under staffed with very few people applying for these jobs coupled with the Federal Mandates brought on by Obama & renewed by Biden have made the job unbearable for most people.

Both suspects are from Eastside Suburbs blessed with ‘diversity’.

Many more people are retiring or taking employment in other departments than are joining the city police.

I can’t blame them. Too many hassles for too little pay. Bonus: doing your job, may land you in jail.
