After Two Years, CDC Head Admits PCR Tests Produce False Positives

Yet the guidance for quarantining and CDC’s case numbers was based on them all this time

CDC head Rochelle Walensky admitted Wednesday that the agency has rejigged its guidance, including cutting COVID isolation times in half, based on the fact that PCR tests are producing massive amounts of false positives.

Noting that PCR tests for COVID can stay positive for up to 12 weeks after infection, Walensky stated “we would have people in isolation for a very long time if we were relying on PCRs.”

Er yeah, that’s been happening for two years now.

It’s a startling admission given that, as pointed out by commentator Yossi Gestetner, case numbers and people having to isolate, cancel events and close businesses was all based on potentially false positives from oversensitive PCRs.

This means that for the past 21 months, people sat home for extra days and weeks because their test came back with an irrelevant positive. We didn’t know this 6, 12, 18 months ago? Really?

Hi @CDCDirector. Does the above mean that we don’t need a negative test 48-72 hours before flying into the US since fake/irrelevant positives can linger for 12 weeks?

In a separate interview, Walensky also admitted Wednesday that the agency’s latest guidance on COVID was based on what the government perceived people would accept.

“It really had a lot to do with what we thought people would be able to tolerate,” Walensky starkly admitted.

Sorry, should have said those PCR tests are authorized by the FDA.

Thank you. I see the lie that PCR tests have been pulled or don’t work posted many times a day around here. Unfortunately, it will continue to be posted.

For someone who has previously seemed to be nothing more than a disinterested pro-vax person, you sure seem to have an answer for everything.

PCR gives false positives at a very high rate. I can personally guarantee not getting a false positive simply by using the FLCCC nasal and oral irrigation protocol.

BTW, I’ve had the test many times. Funny how the staff always asked me if I had any symptoms before giving me the result. I never did, but even if I did, I would have told them ‘NO’. The test result needs to stand on its own without input from the testee.

The BioFire test costs about $1,000.

LOL. Let's look at what the CDC said:

"“After December 31, 2021, CDC will withdraw the request to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) of the CDC 2019-Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV) Real-Time RT-PCR Diagnostic Panel, the assay first introduced in February 2020 for detection of SARS-CoV-2 only. CDC is providing this advance notice for clinical laboratories to have adequate time to select and implement one of the many FDA-authorized alternatives,” the CDC said.

Visit the FDA website for a list of authorized COVID-19 diagnostic methods. For a summary of the performance of FDA-authorized molecular methods with an FDA reference panel, visit this page."

They said they were retiring this one particular PCR test because it's outdated and pointed readers to the FDA page with the other 268 authorized PCR tests. Just as I said.

Now lets look at what your source turned that statement into:

" PCR tests will no longer be a valid and recognized method for determining COVID-19 infection."

There's a word for that...oh yeah, that's a lie.

As I said, you’re really invested in the cv19 narrative and cv19vx. Why is that?

I'm invested in honest discourse and the stuff you posted ain't it.

Many FReepers are understandably fascinated by me and want to know more, but we should probably save that for its own thread.

Until then, do you have anything to say about why people are lying about the PCR tests?

You’re spoiling the conspiracy story, dammit!

Those who saw the CDC announcements that began last July are aware that this is a planned upgrade and not the removal of a faulty test.

But around here that means just about no one. CDC needs to run their announcements in kook websites and then Team Q would see them.

The term “false positive” is being thrown around without defining it.

The SARS CoV 2 signal on the PCR isn’t “false”, it’s perfectly real. What’s “false” is the inference that all true positive SARS CoV 2 results indicate active infection, or maybe more exactly indicate infectiousness.

So, a positive PCR 20 days after a new infection is “true” in the sense that SARS CoV 2 RNA is really still there, but it’s usually “false” in the sense that the person is no longer contagious.

Antigen testing (Binax, Quidel, etc etc) may be the way forward for this but as with everything else COVID there are massive conflicts in the bureaucracy - CDC became committed to PCR because it’s “better” (more sensitive) and can be positive when an antigen test is negative, without investigating the possibility that the less sensitive antigen test was a better indicator of infectiousness, which is, after all, what we need the tests to tell us.

They won’t give in (yet) on a switch to antigen testing because the US has produced fewer antigen tests, at higher cost and less surge capacity than most other first world countries, and if the announced a switch we could not create an infrastructure fast enough to replace PCR and, worst of all, Brandon might be made to look bad by white supremacist terrorists who have so far managed to avoid arrest.

What I am saying is that the “old” PCR tests, especially set over 17 cycles, did not give accurate results. There is no such thing as an asymptomatic cv19 spread per McCullough.

Cv19 is not much more than a moderately nasty flu. The lockdowns combined with alcohol and caffeine overconsumption lead to more illness. And then per McCullough and others, the refusal of hospitals to treat + giving Remdesivir in hospital killed at least 500,000 people.

You’re part of the problem. Anyone supporting the narrative in the way you do is arguably with the domestic and international Enemy.
