Um, so what about Africa, The Mid East, Asia etc then? With their countless hours of heavy sunshine all year?
Minnesota is not the world.
In sub-Saharan Africa the plan has been for decades to keep the various tribes at war and without much power, having to choose between having a single low wattage bulb lit or refrigerating medicine.
Africa may not have all that sunshine if Gates (you know, Fauci’s good buddy) has his way and can figure out how to cloud the sun.
So why put them up in places where they don’t work like the northern states, North Europe etc.? That’s where most are going up.
I agree there are places where solar makes sense, but the green energy cabal has no discernment... because their mission is not about providing the source of energy that makes the most sense for a particular location but to advance and impose their anti fossil fuel agenda.
So, what yah smokin?
Everyplace has nighttime. No sun. It doesn’t matter how shiny it is during the day, folks need lights on at night.
Until there is an efficient, cost-effective means to store energy during night, solar is no more than peak-hour load following generator. But, not one salesman sells it that way. Which is the tell that it is all a lie.
There have been numerous attempts to generate power in NAfrica and ship it to EU. All fail on economics of transmission.
