Right. Because Germany, like Japan, is at high risk of earthquakes and tsunamis.
Who cares it’s Germany
Putin probably gave them a discount on a natural gas / electricity combo deal.
Personally I prefer Germany to be Russia’s bitch than to have the power to make their own decisions.
So yea, have at it, Germany! Save the world!!!
Germany already subsidizes electricity for commercial use. This will only get worse:
Germany electricity prices, June 2021:
Household, kWh: USD 0.360
Business, kWh: USD 0.255
(latest data is under pay portal)

Anyone who is seriously concerned about “climate change” must be a strong proponent of nuclear power lest their “concern” be nothing more than posturing ... mere words ... insincere words.
Going to be some long cold dark winters in their future.
So why is Germany so anti-nuclear? Their neighbor to the West is big on nuclear. Chernobyl happened in the former Soviet Union and the Germans are not the Soviets so they wouldn’t have to worry about a meltdown on the scale of Chernobyl happening.
“When I think of natural disasters in Germany, I think of earthquakes and tsunamis...never!”
The biggest natural disaster the Germans face is - themselves. Not the first time they made stupid choices.
And starting new coal and gas power plants. So much for green energy.

and not even waiting till winter is over... LOL
Fat Fraulines will be in "Great Demand" this winter...
Just another step in the effort to make Germany’s new third-world migrants feel more at home.
Idiocy
Idiots. And we subsidize their national protection, via our armed forces.
We need to pull out of Germany, completely. 100%.
They will be back to burning coal in 10 years as their electric needs continue and they have no other means to get it,.
