Ginsberg and this guy are the only ones I have heard of that lasted more than 8-9 months.

If caught early, survival time is quite a bit longer. At stage 4, one year is about the longest anyone can survive, although 18-24 months is possible. Depends on the progression when detected. On the other hand, there are cases in which the patient dies within a few weeks. I had had a very good friend who made it for about three months.

My brother-in-law survived pancreatic cancer for three years after his Whipple procedure, and he chose to forego chemotherapy. He was active unless his last six months.

I always bring this up. Also magic Johnson. While everyone dropping like flies over AIDS. He is still alive.
