I know this is a weird take, but I found it funny that at 51, after so many opportunities in her life, she had to look for a random roommate to share rent to survive.

My take on it is that she had run every show when she was in her prime, made the rules (or broke them without punishment), and “always dependent on the kindness of strangers” and acquaintances. Now that she no longer can dine out on her good looks, she’s extremely pissed and doesn’t know how to handle the situation.
