Re: 2 - I avoid the Apple store if at all possible. It was a pain to go into even before the pandemic. They have certainly fixed the errors I brought in a laptop for and for free, and they do a great job applying screen protectors with their Belkin applicator tool, and also to get batteries replaced. But that’s it.
Apple will weather this storm just fine. The people who were looking to work in the retail market in NYC... not so much.
For a company so concerned with the environment, they have very little concern for the retail ecosystem.
They’re pulling a Costanza...do the opposite.
They haven’t banned all shoppers.
People who purchase online can still come into the store to pick up their purchases.
