Back in the 1980's there was a case in NYC of some guy who resisted by assaulting the officers arresting him for outstanding warrants by spitting on them. While he was resisting he shouted out he was HIV+ and had AIDS and he's gonna kill them. Even though AIDS isn't transmitted through saliva because this idiot thought otherwise and admitted he thought he could infect the officers that way the prosecution proved intent and he ended up being convinced of 2 counts of ATTEMPTED MURDER OF A POLICE OFFICER.
