It was just my mother and I. We were also cooking for my neighbor/cousin and his invalid wife.
Things were going all right (which was unusual) until I cooked my macaroni and cheese. Since we were cooking for two extra people, I added more macaroni.
Being the disaster area that I am, I added too much macaroni and we ended up with seven quarts of Mac and Cheese. I’m not exaggerating.
I thought it was hilarious, but my oh-so-perfect mother wasn’t amused. At least it tasted good and my neighbors and my dogs enjoyed plenty of Macaroni and Cheese, lol. My dogs and I will still be eating on it on New Years’ Day:)
Sadly, my sister also lives in fear of the China flu. My family is extremely dysfunctional, so her fear of covid-1984 wasn’t the only reason she didn’t attend.
