in the 1980’s, when the whole EC/EU thing was getting started, i had the notion that that organization would be, like a reich, with the triumverate of Berlin, Rome, and Brussels. Brussels-legal, Rome-ecumenical, and Berlin-military.

I said long long ago that Merkel had it figured out that the way of the Nazi was proved not to work so she is trying to take over Europe though the UN, Brussels, etc.

I admit I don’t understand Polish political factions, but didn’t Polish President Andrzej Duda just call for a large Army to confront the threat from Russia? Which is the bigger threat?

Totalitarian Governments eventually have no need for Ecumenical or Legal Branches, once they have the military and Money nothing else really matters....

German already is the Bank of the EU, they are working on the military all hope is lost for the EU until a revolution begins.
