There have been pockets of black culture who have rejected all things white for a long time, work being one of them.
That said, who care if a school in NY won’t sing Jingle Bells. Most of the Christmas revelry has nothing to do with Christ. Jesus didn’t dwell with those who rejected him.
Oh yeah - I’m sure the school has shifted to carols that purely represent the Christian aspect of Christmas.
