Well no, Gender refers only to words, not people. Sex is actually the word you're looking for. I thought it strange some years ago, did you notice a lot of the boilerplate generic forms and paperwork didn't list "Sex - M or F" any longer? It substituted "Gender", and I wondered what that portended. Well now I know. 57 varieties (And Furries too!). It is weird to see a former KGB agent starting to sound like a John Birch society member. I guess they don't want all that Marxist bullshit to boomerang back to their society. He's hoping that their Churches will provide sufficient defense, too.

“Well no, Gender refers only to words, not people.”

Originally “gender” was used in grammar to distinguish noun classes, male and female, for example.

I have filled in many applications, have never seen one that asked for “gender.” They have a place to check “M” or “F”.
