Nope. The thanks the US taxpayer gets is that he’s offshoring pieces of the business to Deutschland.

Except they didn't give Tesla any favoritism.
Every EV subsidy that was available to the first 200,000 Tesla's sold, was equally available to the first 200,000 GM EV’s sold. Same with Ford, Chrysler etc.
GM was making EV’s even before Tesla was founded.
Don't blame Musk or Tesla for GM's ham handedness and incompetence.

While we are on it, how come you are not whining about the $50 Billion GM got from the federal government in 2008 to save GM from bankruptcy? Money on which the federal government made a loss of $10 Billion. Meanwhile Tesla paid back every penny they got as federal government loan. And they paid it long before it was due and with full interest.
