I still don't understand how these gene therapy products are supposed to help against Omicron. I thought they were designed to cause the body to create a spike protein specific to the original (alpha?) virus, and thus have the body create anti-bodies to go after their self-generated spike proteins. The mutated variants (probably driven by the mass inoculations performed during the midst of a pandemic) presumably are different enough so the antibodies don't stop them.
So why the push to get the same shots? If they were different (customized to go after the Omicron or Delta variants) I suppose I could understand the logic. I still wouldn't take these voodoo shots, but at least I could understand the logic. Right now it seems to be a very tenuous stretch to claim that the Alpha antibodies will go after this Omnicron variant.

All this stuff on the ground is confusing to me. We squabble around with the trolls arguing about T-cell protein inhibitors, monkey cells throwing mRNA at each other. Whatever.
I like to pull the stick back, level her off at around 50,000 ft, roll her over and take a look at what’s going on on the ground.
In my opinion, the recent actions of nearly anyone with any authority whatsoever indicates serious malfeasance is afoot. I don’t see the need to dig into the details. What’s the point? If I can identify actors as the bad guys, I have a better idea of what to steer clear of. Good rule of thumb: don’t do what the bad guys want you to do.
But I’ve been wrong before. What do you think?

They’ve already said that the current shots omicron is unaffected by. So why get the old shot for the old covid that has pretty well dissapeared?
