I hope people realize that there's a possibility that one or more members of their family, or friends might not be around next year to celebrate with. People die of plenty of other things, besides Covid. Do they really want their last Christmas memory of a friend or loved one to be, that they barred them from their home the year before because they succumbed to the fear this Fascist government is spreading?
Years ago I was fired from a job because I chose to call in sick, after being denied vacation time to spend Christmas with my elderly parents. It was well worth losing the job, because that following June, my father passed away. It was the last Christmas I ever got to spend with him.
