Nonsense.
Trump did not need Bibi to do anything after the election. That’s just silly.
I believe David about as much as I believe Woodward or the National Enquirer about stuff.
Israel may be a small country but it has a stockpile of atomic weapons that can destroy the Muslim World.
Of course Barr turned out to be a Backstabber 1st Class.
I followed Bibi’s career with great appreciation ,for years & years .Yet Inoted with deep dismay when Netanyahu was among the very first of national leaders to publicly acknowledge Biden’s ‘ won’t. Of course he had/ has Israel’s I interests at heart , but nothing should have compelled him to be so quick and hyperbolic in his public statements to the affect. I completely understand how & why Trump was outraged. Betrayal , particularly avid betrayal , by supposed dear friends hurt the worse. To me ,it’s inexcusable....
Cool, he didn’t even try. Didn’t lend the slightest moral support to Trump’s effort to save America from the coup. Neither did his vaunted mosad.
He and Israel have demonstrated you cannot count on them when you need them. That’s just a fact.
Whatever. No more favors for Israel. They screwed America. And their Nazi mentality of corona passes is depraved. They showed they are nothing special.
The relationship is one way.
It’s too late... America saw.
That’s crap. We have spent decades having their backs, paying for their defense, and Trump was someone Israelis could fully count on.
They repaid him and America with the stab in the back.
For all the excuses and rationalizations, they sided with the communist enemy right when they attacked us.
IMO Michael Brown‘s comments rest on questionable common sense along with way too much eco chamber prognosticating.
Excellent comments about DJT. Totally agree
As if anyone needed more clues that this Administration is a dumpster fire...
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ American Tax Payer $$$$$$$$$$
[snip] The disagreements are believed to stem from a recent conversation between Bennett and US Secretary of State Antony Blinken touched on the issue of construction in Judea and Samaria. During that conversation, Bennett made definite statements regarding Israel's right to expand Jewish towns in the area.
On Tuesday evening, a delegation of senior American officials, headed by the US National Security Adviser, Jake Sullivan, landed in Israel.
The delegation will meet Bennett and top Israeli officials to discuss the Iranian nuclear program, but it will also meet with Palestinian Authority (PA) Chairman Mahmoud Abbas to discuss the relationship between Israel and the PA. [/snip]
Actually, Israel has never asked for USA troops to defend her. She has valiantly sought to defend herself insider as possible. I wouldn’t worry too
Much about It. At least, it’s not on the agenda nor is any such situation foreseeable.
Merry Christmas/ happy holidays.
Arguably, William Barr and Mike Pence screwed America, because they could have done something to get to the bottom of the suspicions regarding the elections, and they balked.
As stated previously, no President is America and no political candidate for any office whatever is America or “democracy” any more than Fauci is “science”. These are totalitarian fantasies. Read Menachem Begin’s Revolt! chapter entitled “Never a Civil War! (my translation of the Hebrew; possibly the official translation varies), the section that treats of the the Altalena matter.”
Israel has no say in the internal electoral politics of America, nor should we. So congratulating Biden in no way, shape or form harmed America. The January 6 Inquisition is actively harming America.
“And their Nazi mentality of corona passes is depraved.”
I would say it’s depraved, but the term Nazi is hyperbole. I have a corona pass, have never been required to show it, and have yet to be rounded up and sent to the gas chambers. It smacks of socialism of some variety, it is a bad thing, but it seems you are acquiring the habits of the Left and calling everything you disagree with “Nazi”.
” They showed they are nothing special.”
Just as Donald Trump, for all his virtues, is not America, Bibi, for all his missteps, is not Israel. He spoke on behalf of Israel as its Prime Minister. But he is no longer in that position, and Naftali Bennett was not in that position in November of last year, either. So what do you mean “they,” kimosavee.
But that’s an aside. What sort of “special”-ness did you expect from the government currently ruling over the Land of Israel? The Land most definitely is special. The Jewish People are special in many ways, but not perfect by a long shot. Stiff-necked, sometimes too similar to the Arab cousins surrounding them, despite the stereotype some of the most inept businessmen on the planet are Jewish.
But the Israeli government is nothing special indeed. In fact, the Zionists strove mightily to create a government that is nothing “special” but like that of all nations. The same real-world forces cause corporations to kiss up to China while having Kaepernick as their spokesman denouncing America’s past of slavery while ignoring China’s present-day slavery.
Bibi felt, rightly or wrongly, that Foe Jiden’s assent to the presidency that he stole was a fait acompli. He might have been assured of that by deep staters who were seeing to the theft. But he had to deal with this reality in a way consistent with the interests of the country he was Prime Minister of, despite his friendship with Donald J. Trump, and Foe Jiden’s history of enmity for Israel. In fact, because of that enmity, he had to kiss up to the new administration, as discussed in prior posts. It was not pretty, but it was probably unavoidable.
“The relationship is one way.
It’s too late... America saw.”
Yawn. You know, this post will be brought up during your confirmation hearing for Secretary of State. So have your opinion, such as it is. It’s ill considered and wrong, imho.
But I’m not worried. In 2024, Orange Man Great will win a stunning victory, because the Dems will be in such disarray after four years of utter dysfunction, so they won’t be able to even cheat effectively. At that time, whoever is the Prime Minister of Israel will heartily congratulate him on his well-deserved victory, and he’ll graciously thank him for his sincere good wishes. I don’t think he’ll nominate you to any cabinet position, so say whatever you want.
His handlers can’t script a phone call and we must assume he is incapable of a cogent conversation. He probably couldn’t keep track of who he’s talking to. With Kamala in the wings, they don’t dare pull his plug. We are in serious trouble.
Rich Little might be imitating him and reading his script. Or some other professional mimic. It’s a phone call, after all. And if there’s video, they just need a doppelganger who can move his lips convincingly while the mimic reads the script.
