Which is precisely why so many demos are upset with him.

This story is played out in so many movies about corruption. Think Serpico.

Everybody is in receipt of a corrupt bribe. But, one member of the team rejects it on principle.

HE MUST DIE!!!!!!!

This is the fundamental rule of woke, @meetoo, etc. Kill the infidels. Those who think or worse, ACT, independently. Kill, kill, kill.

That’s a fact.

We are cursed with some of the “best” Career Politicians that money can buy.

It’s disgusting that their votes matter but ours do not.

“There were plenty of Freepers who kept posting Manchin was going to be bought or intimidated one way or another.”

Yup. The FR Loser Brigade, always expecting the worst, so they can say, “See, I told ya so!!!”

The last thing any of this brigade will do is say, “I was wrong, oops, I called his office to thank him.” Instead, the scrutinize headlines daily, hoping for Manchin to cave, so they can beat their scrawny chests.

*spit*

I think Joe’s price was going to cost him his re-election. He turned down the offer.

No they won’t. Not like the GOP....................

And doing a victory lap before the game is over is so GOP. The Dems will get this one over the line in some form. Meanwhile, the GOP sunshine pumpers will be blissfully on to their next political fantasy.

I will save my applause for Manchin until I am sure he remains a bulwark against this Biden mess. Perhaps during the holiday recess one or two more Democrats will hear from their constituents and choose not to go down on Biden’s Titanic. I am certain members of Congress are already hearing from their constituents about soaring prices, especially for gasoline and home heating. Biden’s prediction of a bleak winter may come true, not due to COVID but due people freezing in their homes because they cannot afford their heating bill or due to shortages of home heating oil and natural gas.

Good for Manchin for some backbone, especially since he inherited Robert Byrd’s political legacy:
