The recall campaign was bruising. Both the recall supporters and Sawant defenders spent roughly one million dollars each. The Kshama Solidarity Campaign set up pop-up tents around the district to convince voters to print, sign, and submit their ballots against the recall. This tactic, along with ballot harvesting, is legal in Washington state. Some Kshama supporters were accused of bullying and intimidation against those who openly supported the recall.

That’s why I left seattle. I’m now in Kentucky and like to tell people I left a place where my vote didn’t count for a place where my vote still doesn’t count, but for the exact opposite reason. 😛
If ballot harvesting of any sort is allowed, no legal election is possible.

Yup. The old saw:
“Socialism, where you vote your way in, but have to shoot your way out.”
Has that strategy ever worked? IDK, I look at Detroit, Chicago, Baltimore, etc that have been “burned down” for decades. They never get to the point where any lessons are learned or they change things, but their surrounding areas keep paying the price.
It's the "Seattle" way of conducting an election. Of course the communist will "get away with cheating".
I don’t know about surrounding areas paying a price.
In Dayton, OH, which went from 330,000 in the 1970s to 240,000 when I got there in 85, the surrounding areas thrived-—Centerville, Huber Heights, Kettering, Beavercreek.
Something about handing them over to their passions . . . .
