Democrats claim that democracy is under attack in America and Democrats must act decisively to protect it. They’ve been trying to end the filibuster, nationalize voting, and pack the Supreme Court. The most ominous “fix,” which hinges on the myth of a “January 6 Insurrection,” sees retired generals argue that the military must purge the ranks of Trump supporters and prepare for a military coup to block a future contested election. This is unconstitutional, illegal, and spells the end of American democracy.
Victor Davis Hanson notes that leftists are loudly worrying about democracy’s end while ignoring all they’ve done to end democracy, such as bringing in millions of illegal aliens, many of whom are being given the vote; destroying centuries-old governing traditions such as the filibuster; packing the court; ending the Electoral College; and more.
If Democrats can kill the Senate filibuster (and Arizona Senator Kyrsten Sinema is the only thing stopping them, not the craven Senator Mitch McConnell), they have the unfettered ability to enshrine vote fraud and pack the Supreme Court. The latter move spells the final—and deeply unconstitutional—progressive rewrite of our Constitution, and ends our constitutional republic.
The wild card in all of this, though, is what would the military do if, in fact, the progressives were able to achieve these goals (or even if they weren’t). Three retired officers have signaled that they want to purge the military of Trump supporters, and then plan a takeover of the military and related federal agencies that coordinate with the military to effect a coup in 2024. Considering the current state of the Pentagon, this may be more than a progressive fantasy.
Thirty years ago, when I was a U.S. Army Infantry Officer, our military was unquestionably a politically neutral, colorblind institution.

In its history the military was called in to settle political struggle. If I remember correctly first by their version of the “left” then the “right” or Republic. That set the stage for civil wars that eventually saw the dominance of the Emperor system. Cicero himself was ordered executed by Mark Anthony and Octavian and the Republic was dead.
The republic died when the military became involved.
They continue to purge the military because that is a threat to them
The very first thing President Trump needs to do in his 2nd term is launch an absolutely massive purge of the 3 letter agencies and the officer corps of the Military. Everybody above the rank of Captain needs to be scrutinized...the friends and associates, their social media posts, their comments etc. Purge all the Leftists immediately.
Yes, thousands if not tens of thousands. Fire them all.
Then bring back every person purged from the military over the last 10 years for not being a Leftist or for refusing the Fauci juice. Bring them back at their former rank, in their former MOA. Also give them generous back pay for the time they were out.
Immediately abolish diversity, equity and inclusion positions and fire anybody in them.
Immediately abolish CRT.
Immediately abolish any and all woke ads...in fact require each advertisement to be approved by Trump personally before it can go out.
Immediately abolish transgenders and of course any transgender surgeries.
Publicly announce that the military is going to get back to focusing on killing people and breaking things. It has no other purpose. The militaries only colors are Red, White and Blue.
Take all of that and shove it down the Pentagon’s throat on Day one. If anybody complains, fire them immediately. I don’t give a damn what you Wokesters think. This is how its going to be. Your job is to salute, say “Yes sir” and carry it out immediately.
Check their twitter/news histories. All three have made statements against Repoblicans.
People at the other end of the spectrum were calling for a military coup in 2020. Some still are.
They should lose their pensions.
This is why the Founding Fathers, keen students of history, were suspicious of a standing army. People forget after a while. We always forget.

Look, the entire federal government apparatus has been taken over by public health bureaucracies not under the control of the legislatures and invasive private corporations that also want to invade private lives, and Hanson is worried about a similar takeover of the military that has occurred by these same public health bureaucracies???
Stop the Medical Coup then the military coup will also be stopped.

Not sure how this guy does his math, but the Democrats need 50 votes to kill the filibuster and pack the courts, and right now they have 48 votes, and there are 52 votes to keep the filibuster.
The author loses credibility here by claiming that ‘craven Senator Mitch McConnell’ is not stopping them (perhaps he’s trying troll our side, since many here take the bait quite easily). But McConnell, along with EVERY other Republican Senator, including ALL RINOs are part of that 52 blocking the filibuster change, with the only Democrats being Sinema and Manchin.
I’m not trying to sell short Sinema and Manchin as they’re the ones getting the death threats on this issue, not the Republicans, but that’s only because the Republicans are resolute AGAINST this crap.
