Gramsci’s long march through the institutions.
I stopped giving to our local SA several years ago after I dropped off some canned goods from my church. It was an “open pantry” where anyone could walk in off the street and grab as much as they wanted. While I was there, I watched two college students walk in and do their free grocery shopping.
Dead to me.
Like I said before when they canceled a convention at Mira Lago I said that’s it! They can ESAD before I’ll give another red cent to that WOKE place!!!
They won’t get a cent from me.
Flip off your 20,000+ volunteer workforce and spit in their face and you get what we have here today.
Which is the way the woke wants it.
Well they gets it.
Anti-racism? It was anti-whites.
Precisely this. For the SA, there will be no recovery.
If you need another reason to ditch the SA, check out their main web page, where the SA outwardly supports “diversity and inclusion” along with the SA’s wholehearted support of the gay agenda. SA brags about offering benefits to same-sex couples and features videos of “openly gay” SA officers. However, don’t expect to find any Biblical messages about the need to repent from one’s sins.
The SA is a racist hate group.
I don't think many people were fooled by the "withdrawing for review" dodge. Review by the same unapologetic professional racists who drew it up in the first place isn't likely to yield much except doubling down and re-issue at a less critical date.
So they're having to hire bell-ringers. It was, after all, at staffers that the racist screed was aimed. I hope they're appropriately apologetic and are bringing in more than $15 an hour.
I remember it’s pre-woke days when the SA was about saving souls and helping the down & out - and street bands. Was a good org at one time.
Then I read about the anti racism guide and actual quotes from the preachy leftist document.
I'll not make the mistake of supporting their organization which made the choice for me and my Country to be inaccurately insulted again.
Ever.
ButtEdge’s Dad was a Gramsci proponent ensconced in Notre Dame faculty.
ButtEdge is just another rotten apple fallen from the tree.
When I confronted my racist nature I realized that it was why I was donating to Salvation Army. Racist nature confronted, Salvation Army cancelled.
> It’s a shame. They used to be the best charity out there. <
Yes, indeed. I particularly liked that the Salvation Army didn’t have fancy executives who were pulling down $500,000 each.
The SA’s only hope now would be for its entire top leadership to resign. But even then that might not be enough. Th SA insulted a lot of people. And insulted people tend to have long memories.
If you think liberals care when an evangelical organization goes out of business, you’re barking up the wrong tree.
The ONLY chance the SA had was to apologize...admit they made a mistake...but they went on the offensive blaming others for spreading hate and discord.
Come to think of it, I haven’t seen a single red kettle this year.
I hope another truly Christian-based charity will soon step up and fill the void.
The SA was that at one time, but alas, they have been infiltrated and destroyed by the left.
I haven’t seen one in my area either, certainly not at Walmart and Kroger where I shop. I guess they really got caught in this screwup.
Typically conservative and religious organizations, who rely on support from conservative and religious people, and then succumb to pressure from the Left to adopt the Lefts agendas, and lose support from their traditional sources, should not be surprised when the Left doesn’t step up to help support the organization.
