what about all those poor people in southern states who never get a white christmas unless they truck in a few loads of snow for the hour or so until it melts?
I am glad to not have to deal with snow removal for christmas this year :)

I grew up in New York. Not Georgia, New York. Had two white Easters. One Mother’s Day coated in thick ice. Zero white Christmases. Zero. None. Never. Not in my entire New York life. But this story makes people think the reason they don’t have a white Christmas is because of Global Warming.

As I read this article, Northern New England is getting it’s foot or more of the white stuff. Who’s to say this is the optimal condition for the earth? I would think a longer growing season would be better for everything.
Here in South Western PA I have personally guaranteed we won’t have a white Christmas.
I bought a new snow blower and moved it from the shed to the garage.
Yes, they played in snow North of Tampa... at Snowcat Ridge. (Nice place to visit!).
If a White Christmas is that important to you, live North of the 45th parallel, and you’ll get your wish.

White Christmas was usually reserved for the northern tier and New England...where snow is. Grew up in south Jersey and Christmas snow was a rarity...and this was in the 50’s.
Heck, they even made a movie about the lack of snow in Vermont in the late 40’s...White Christmas, I think it was.
