The arrival of the omicron variant has led some politicians and public health grandees to call for a return to business closures and 'circuit-breaker' lockdowns.

My message is this: we canβt stop the spread of COVID, but we can end the pandemic.
In October 2020, I wrote the Great Barrington Declaration (GBD) along with Prof. Sunetra Gupta of Oxford University and Prof. Martin Kulldorff of Harvard University.
The centerpiece of the declaration is a call for increased focused protection of the vulnerable older population, who are more than a thousand times more likely to die from COVID infection than the young.

The Great Barrington Declaration (GBD) calls for a return to normal life for low-risk children and non-elderly adults.

During Floridaβs summer wave, Gov. Ron DeSantis promoted the use of monoclonal antibodies β an FDA-approved treatment β by patients early in the course of the disease, an action that saved many lives.
Safe and inexpensive supplements like Vitamin D have been shown effective. Promising new treatments from Pfizer and a new antibody treatment for the immunocompromised by Astra Zeneca promise to become more widely available. Until that happens, they should be preserved for use by the most vulnerable when sick.

People have proved over the prior year they don’t want to do what it takes to protect the elderly, the children and the immmuno-vulnerable
Truth is, it’s the elderly and young who are protecting the adults. Sure, lock up elderly for another 2 years so the rest of the pop can forget about them, like the stoners on The Island did to the sharkbite guy, but you’re locking them up with unprotected caregivers. How is that any different than 2 years ago?
Same with kids in schools - tape the mask to their little faces, close the schools, send them home so we don’t have to think about them, while the teachers that acquired immunity are surrounded by aides and office workers that refuse.
Same in hospitals - nurses and doctors have acquired immunity but they’re surrounded by aides, techs and clerical staff who refuse.
Addressing natural immunity - previous infections with Alpha or Delta doesn’t prevent infection from Omi. Whats to say that infection from Omi offers protection against any other mutation, since Omi can be cross-infected with Delta? And, since level of immunity may be tied to severity of infection, if Omi is ‘mild’ what immunity is actually built?
It is encouraging though that DM published the article. Circulation: Worldwide This man has weight and credibility and guts.
No, terrible! Those jabs have been doing in the elderly!
The idiot leotards already call it that.
“...calls for a return to normal life for low-risk children and non-elderly adults.”
I’m 70. Am I now “elderly”? I’ve hardly strayed from a “normal life” since this began. I stay healthy, spend a lot of time outdoors, take the recommended anti-COVID supplements, vitamins and minerals, and took the shots. I refuse to let this damn thing ruin my life. Fortunately, we normally don’t go to mass events anyway.
Only the weak minds let this thing get to them. One of our neighbors, about my age, locked himself in his house for FULL YEAR rarely venturing outside. He’s a victim of the mass psychosis.
Leftards, not leotards. Damn autocorrect.
Jay Bhattacharya is one of the good guys in this. He has had several great interviews in the “Uncommon Knowledge” podcast put out by the Hoover Institution. They are worth listening to.
The Chinese, of course, make that exact claim.
Victor Davis Hanson said a few days ago that there has been a lot of violence on the Stanford Campus. That was shocking news to me. It seems like the last place where you would encounter violence.
He’s been bravely speaking out ever since he did the early work on the spread of COVID and natural immunity at the beginning of the pandemic. He’s been a big target for TPTB for quite a while, but he keeps at it.
True. Even before the useless masking craze and long before the nearly useless, but potentially lethal "vaccine cure-all".
True. Everything you said.
What? You mean like humanity has done with thousands of viruses for tens of thousands of years?
How does that help petty dictators and corporate billionaires?
LibertyWoman speaks for me too, I am 66, try to eat well, take vitamins and supplements, got 2 shots, and at my last checkup my doctor even reduced the dose of a medication I have been on for 25 years. I have a part time restaurant job and I worked (and continue to work) throughout the pandemic and lockdowns. Except for not being able to visit my family out of state this thing didn’t have a major impact on my life either.
but noooo.....the sensible thing was not done....
the only reason the whole economy wasn't destroyed is because thru the generosity of the US taxpayer we paid every single govt employee for staying home in their pj's and sipping coffee....they had money to burn.
Where does it mention Ivermectin and Hydroxichoroquine?
He alludes to making available effective early treatment options. He goes on to provide a couple of examples. Just because he doesn’t specifically mention Ivermectin or HCQ doesn’t mean he doesn’t endorse them among the treatments he does mention.
My thoughts exactly, common sense. I’m sure he will be fired by new year.
