Former President Donald Trump tops President Biden and Pope Francis on a list of the world’s most admired public figures released earlier this week, rising two spots despite a series of legal battles and scrutiny over the Jan. 6 Capitol riot.
The annual YouGov survey released Monday ranked Trump as the 13th-most admired man in the world. Trump was 15th in last year’s poll, which was released weeks before a mob of his supporters breached the Capitol building in an effort to interrupt the congressional count of electoral votes from the 2020 presidential election.
Pope Francis ranks as the 16th-most admired man, while Biden is listed as the 20th.
All three world figures, however, rank well below Chinese President Xi Jingping and Russian President Vladimir Putin — who come in at third and ninth, respectively.
Former President Barack Obama tops the list of the world’s most admired men for the second straight year, while former first lady Michelle Obama makes it a three-peat at the top of the list of the world’s most admired women.
The rankings are based on a survey of more than 42,000 people across 38 countries done this past spring.
Notable names on the men’s list include Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates (second), soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo (fourth), Tesla CEO Elon Musk (sixth), Indian President Narendra Modi (eighth) and Chinese businessman Jack Ma (10th).
Vice President Kamala Harris made her debut on YouGov’s list of most admired women, coming in at 11th — one spot ahead of Hillary Clinton and five spots in front of former first lady Melania Trump.

It’s not an online poll, though there’s plenty of room for error. If there’s news here, it’s how far the Clintons have fallen.
RE: There are a bunch of names on both lists that mean nothing to me—I haven’t the slightest idea who they are or why they are famous.
YEP. WHO THE HECK IS LISA ON THAT LIST? THERE ARE THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE WITH THAT NAME! HECK, I PERSONALLY KNOW AT LEAST 5 LISA”s.
Ronaldo, Jackie Chan, and Messi...ok, whatever you say. MSM is always trying to push their interactional agenda.
PS- Jackie Chan has totally sold out to the ChiComs.
More vote fraud.
That list tells me all I need to know about the people who put it together and the people who participated.

Most of all-any group of people who would have someone like Jackie Chan at number 5 of ANY list of “admired” people is to be immediately discounted as completely shallow and vacuous.
I mean, Scarlett Johansson is pretty and has nice female attributes, but #5 is quite revealing as well, never mind those in front of her.
The Kenyan from Indonesia was never eligible to be President.
People are stupid.
My sister once had a dog named Lisa. Now deceased.
Why isn’t Caitlyn Jenner on the women’s list?
Is YouGov transphobic?
These ‘most admired’ people polls are worthless. The news media drives the poll.
Also, the Obamas get 100% of the African/Afro-American vote. I know this because recently I have been watching a lot of old Family Fued episodes on the Game Show nerwork. Almost every episode [or nearly all] have one famil of Black Americans, and they always choose many black people as the most ‘this or that’ for their answers. Some of the answers make good sense ond others are names of people that only black Americans would know. I understand why this is as their culture naturally makessome of their group more well knfamous within that culture.
Back to the general topic of most admired. Barack Obama and Michelle Obama are always chosen first on the Family Fued for most admired by the black families. This uniformity skews the poll since the other people split their votes.
