A 17-year-old Chicago-area drug dealer stabbed a 15-year-old to death over some weed. Apparently, the victim, Elias Valdez, tried to steal pot from the dealer. A fight ensued and the drug dealer stabbed Valdez. He later died at the hospital.
The unnamed drug dealer pleaded guilty to 2nd-degree murder. Cook County judge Steven Bernstein told the 17-year-old murderer he was a “bright kid with a bright future” and gave the killer three years’ probation along with 100 hours of community service and told him that he and his parents need to attend therapy together.
“I see a child like you who has two parents concerned with his welfare,” Judge Bernstein told the murdering drug dealer. “You’re a bright kid with a bright future. I don’t think you’re a murderer, but you killed this child and you have to live with that for the rest of your life.”
He also had a message for the family of the dead kid.
‘You’ll never get closure. I wish I could tell you you will,” the judge told the Valdez family. “Your son will be in your heart forever.”
Wow, thanks, “your honor.”

“you have to live with that for the rest of your life.”
The judge assumes this “kid” has enough of a conscious to feel remorse. That may be assuming too much.
The MSM labelled the killer as white. They never do with other races. The deceased tried to steal the weed, there was a chase and a fight. Not sure who brought the knife or if there were any other weapons in the fight.
Soft on crime, what used to be called turnstile justice years ago. Particularly in the “distressed” inner city ‘hoods. This what White woketards consider “killing them with compassion”
SPJNK.
The Daily Mail has more here. It’s hard to tell exactly what happened, but the defense attorney says the victim, who was on the wrestling team, slammed the “97-pound” drug dealer into the cement ground and they both went for the dealer’s utility knife. The dealer did plead guilty to murder, though.
Unless there’s a lengthy and accurate account published on this case somewhere now or in the future, it’s hard to say with so little to go on whether or not justice has been done here or not.
I guess the judge can live with his decision.
As the democrats call it looking out for the little guy as others call it aiming.
