It’s hypothetical, of course. Ramadan doesn’t fall out in December or January this year. Besides, the supporters could attend even during Ramadan. They’d just be in a crappy mood for fasting. For that matter, Shabbat observers could attend just by walking to City Hall. If they live in Brooklyn, they could walk the Brooklyn Bridge. That’s always a thrill. If they live in Queens, I’m not sure there’s a pedestrian walkway across the 59th Street, and that’s a pretty formidable schlep besides. If they live in Staten Island or the Bronx, they’re out of luck.

Louis Rossmann from Youtube used to live-stream ride home on an E-Bike thru that area. He would hit 20 mph on the bridge walkway if there was no one around.

Actually, Ramadan in late December or early January would have the shortest fast duration at least in the northern hemisphere.
