Yea, I know, but he has other companies - Starlink/spaceX in particular where he has already applied - and will get - another $Billion +/- for rolling out internet, not to mention solarcity for solar credits etc.
They guy is brilliant, but to really like him I want him to be the guy that says ‘no thanks’ to any help from the government - just doesn’t sit well for an average guy like me to have to give money to the richest guy on the planet to do what he probably was going to do anyway.
I don’t care if it ends up being a good investment - he is rich enough to not need it, and would win a lot more supporters (and reduce a lot of criticism) if he would keep his hands out of the public’s pocket..
But you don't. Musk's $12 Billion in taxes this year alone more than covers ( more than double) any subsidies Tesla or any of his companies may have received.
And that is his taxes for this year alone.
