They ARE 75% DOWN IN DONATIONS FROM PREVIOUS YEARS. I WONDER WHY?......................
I was a monthly donor. No more.
I’m watching as SA goes down in flames.
Go Woke go broke.
They are paying the price for their wokeness.
Unfortunately so are the people they once helped.
Too late I’m afraid....they made their bed.
I hope whoever decided it was a good idea to go woke is happy.
Like most mainline traditional religious organizations the Salvation Army has rotted from within with woke pseudo theology as its inspiration. Also suspect the “leaders” of these organizations have been bought off or are being blackmailed.
The moral rot even extends throughout the Salvation Army. Jesus help us.
This is the first year years that I do NOT intend to donate.
I spit upon ALL woke collections of excrement and hope that soon we can make all woke think seriously of choosing another country. I have had it with idiots.
They are always outside the door of my local Shop Rite ringing their bell. I always stuffed a dollar or so into the little bucket, as impossible as it was.
My contribution this year?? $0.00
The SA went political in early 2017 and hasn’t seen a penny from me since.
The Salvation Army fired a bullet at its white donors. It’s gonna be very tough to call that bullet back.
I used to have great respect for the Salvation Army. But I have shifted my charity dollars to the local food bank, I would consider the SA once again if their leadership apologized AND resigned.
I now walk pas the bell ringers without even a pause. More often than in the past the kettles are unmanned.
I think they do some good as an organization but they shot themselves in the foot - correction, they blew both feet off - and it’s going to take one of their salvation miracles to recover. I don’t think the donations will ever really come back as people will find other avenues for their money. If the SA geniuses who called us all white supremacists and racists end up on the other end of their charity line they might just find out that a lot of white people in those other organizations are actually pretty damn good folks.
They called me a racist. I never forgive insults like that.
Thank you for this info. I was wondering how they are doing, and hoping it was bad. They’ll probably just come out and say it is “due to the pandemic”.
Same here, I asked the local chapter if they planned any statement to denounce this and they said No (although they may be forbidden to do so, dunno).
No more money from me.
And I may start carrying paper scraps that say “I’m not racist - Merry Christmas!” to put in their empty kettles.
Too little, too late. At least the first two, maybe three, layers of the organization must resign, for the good of their mission. Even then, it will take a tremendous effort for them to regain their footing. People can find organizations close to home to donate their time and efforts.
The head of the Salvation Army was just interviewed by Shaun Kraisman and Emma Rechenberg on their Newsmax morning show about a half-hur ago. He was only asked softball questions, which was very disappointing There was not one question about the Salvation Army’s embrace of CRT and “social justice” and the spokesman was allowed to portray the organization as heroic.
F ‘em. They had a story in our local rag begging for more donations. When the commenters started lampooning them and saying things like”I apologized for my whiteness what more can I do?”
Of course the “moderator” said this is racist and after sending direct quotes comments were disabled.
The Salvation Army went cesspool diving and now ask for rope.
