Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin made the comments in a press briefing on Tuesday, responding to reports that no US troops would be punished for a botched drone strike in Afghanistan earlier this year that killed 10 civilians, including seven children.
“The US troops’ atrocity of killing civilians in Afghanistan is unacceptable,” he said.
“It is all the more outrageous that the US exonerates the perpetrators with impunity on various grounds.

China is a typical bully. They love to intimidate, but they don’t want their hair mussed. The last thing China wants is a real fight to the death, where their military and economy can be seriously damaged.

CIA makes more sense. The Afghani guy was hit at his home, not while doing anything which “troops” could interpret as a hostile act.
His “aid” job was probably a convenience for his actual role as a CIA asset. Apparently he became or was about to become a liability, possibly in relation to the hasty withdrawal.
His kids were a bonus by CIA metrics. Killing innocents sows the field for future terrorists, which you gotta keep coming in the pipeline if you are to have an enduring, massively profitable WoT.
