Not for strong border and strong enforcement, likes cheap labor, like most of them.
I agree completely. It will take many more people waking up and I just don’t see that occurring at the moment. The republicans in the senate are acting like it’s business as normal and it isn’t. Also, McCarthy should not be Speaker after the midterms, but no one is stepping up. If you recall, Jim Jordan lost in a landslide to McCarthy for minority leader. There has not been an effective republican leader in the House since Newt.
Nominations for party leadership in both Houses take place during the lame duck session. Elections takes place the following year once the new Congress is seated. Almost always, the nominee of the majority party is elected in both Houses of Congress.
It’s just a scam, like everything else that is excreted from the Crapitol
As much as I’d like someone else, McConnell will be the Senate Majority Leader if the Republicans get control on 2022 or 2024.
Mitch and Liz Cheney are actively undermining the true party leader, Trump. All candidates need to reject them both, now.
I have yet to see this miserable greedy China Turdle say anything about the devastation in his home state.
“Merrick Garland would be on the Supreme Court and Gorsuch, Kavanaugh, and Barrett would not be.”
Since we’re dealing in hypotheticals...any other Republican in the position of Majority Leader could have refused to bring Merrick Garland’s nomination up for a full vote in the senate.
In other words, Kentucky could have rid itself of Mitch McConnell in favor of a more conservative senator and Merrick Garland would still not have been elevated to the Supreme Court.
McConnell is all about McConnell. He only strategically leans to the right when it benefits his keeping his plum job and the perks that go with it. Nice scam if you can keep the rest of the rubes fooled.
The Republicans held their leadership elections on November 17, 2020 and the democrats held their elections on November 18, 2020.
The Speaker is the only position that is constitutional and that election is held on the first day of the House's session in January - but that is never a surprise as to who will win for obvious reasons.
