Yup. Used to be very active in Christmas donations. Not anymore. That includes united way.
Instead of giving to Salvation Army, I’m helping a local family help pay the vet bills for the unexpected surgery of their beloved pet.
Even if Salvation Army “changes their tune” it’s too late for me. They showed their true colors. Any recanting is just damage control. I now know how they really feel.
As far as I can tell.... Christian Appalachian Project has avoided the woke disease. Research and consider them for a donation.
When I was in the USN back in the Seventies, they used to pressure all of us to give “officially” to the United Way.
Everyone.
It pissed me off so much I haven’t given them a cent since then. And that was over forty five years ago.
St. Jude and Tunnel to Towers is about all who see any significant donations from me anymore.
