innesota hospital leaders are warning in a full-page newspaper ad that they are “overwhelmed” amid a COVID-19 surge and are urging the public to take action.
“Our emergency departments are overfilled, and we have patients in every bed in our hospitals,” write the leaders of nine hospital systems in the state, including the Mayo Clinic and North Memorial Health.
The hospitals warn that because their capacity is strained, care for non-coronavirus medical events, like heart attacks, is also threatened.

Why aren’t they setting up monoclonal antibody infusion centers to keep people out of the hospital? That treatment...nearly 100 percent effective, has been available for a year and is being slow-walked and stonewalled by these very same people.
Hospital administrators trying to get more funding, I’m sure.
They want you to think it is because of all those unvaxxed types. Funny how no matter what the problem, the vax or a booster is the answer.
But they could be (and very probably are) "overwhelmed" due to a staffing shortage.
Heck, they could be overwhelmed simply due to supply chain issues - unable to get anything from drugs to their laundry running short of detergent.
I no longer trust the media, the FDA/CDC, or anyone connected with corporate medicine to tell us the unvarnished, un-spun truth.

If you can fire competent, qualified people you aren’t overwhelmed.
Simple solution; just permit HCQ and Ivermectin to be OTC and problem solved, Pandemic over......allow peopke to treat themselves just like the regular flu or cold....
Our overwhelmed hospital was the same. Weird thing was, as I sat alone in the waiting area alone, there was a family of 5 human Beans there. Mom, Dad and three bambinos. Every other person there was alone, there were 8 in total. It seems there are different rules for regular people, but for those who were forced to hurry and cross the border before papers were filled, approved and stamped, they are not even told what the rules are. At least not yet, maybe someday.

Two of those MN articles were from Northfield. Back when I was in college that would have been the backup destination I’d had something student health could fix. Happily, like most healthy college kids I hadn’t needed student health either. But in 20:20 hindsight curiosity after I progressed on to medical school it seemed like a nice facility for the town of “cows, colleges and contentment.” Sounds like they’re running low on contentment. Carleton and St. Olaf students and staff made up about half its 20k population. I hope all their big lib academics enjoy their local health care now. But then many probably travel 40 minutes south to Mayo’s and haven’t yet noticed the change. Liberal but sane when I was there. Future Senator Wellstone was a professor then. His big liberal destiny was ruined by a plane crash and the take over of his funeral by insane liberals was their coming out party.
So, they have two beds reserved for “with Covid,” and both are occupied. Are they just “flooded”, or “overwhelmed?”
